THE BCA TEN: Best Companies Supporting the Arts in America
"The companies on this year's list are not only exceptional supporters of the arts in their communities - and role models for other companies - they are all pro active in their engagement with the arts," said Judith A. Jedlicka. "Each goes into the community, works with arts administers to identify challenges and explore solutions. As a result," she continued, "among the projects we recognized are a new annual summer jazz series in Chicago supported by Boeing, arts-driven initiatives that Shell is funding to help re-build New Orleans and surrounding areas, and community-based arts projects throughout Michigan that would have been eliminated were it not for Masco’s support."
