BCA On-line Survey Results
93% of Respondents Would Rather Work for Companies That Support the Arts
Ninety-three percent (93%) of respondents to an on-line survey conducted by the Business Committee for the Arts, Inc. for six weeks during September and October 2000 indicated that they would rather work for a company that supports the arts over one that does not.
The survey asked visitors to the BCA Web site: "With all things being equal, including salary and benefits, would you choose to work for a company that supports the arts over one that does not?" Among respondents, ninety-three percent (93%) indicated they would choose to work for a company that supports the arts, while less than 1% indicated they would not, and 6% indicated that it would not matter.

the Arts
95% of respondents to an on-line survey conducted by the Business Committee for the Arts, Inc. (BCA) during May and June 2000 indicated that they viewed a compnay more positively if it supports the arts.
The survey asked visitors to the BCA website (www.bcainc.org) "How do you view a company that supports the arts? Positively, negatively or the same?" Among respondents, 95% indicated they viewed such compnaies positively, while 1% indicated they viewed such companies negatively and 4% viewed such companies the same.
Of those who responded to the survey question, 36% identified themselves as being affiliated with business; 26% with the arts; 4% with education; 5% with "other," and 30% did not state an affiliation.
The Business Committee for the Arts, Inc. (BCA), founded in 1967 by David Rockefeller, is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing businesses and the arts together. BCA provides the services and resources necessary to develop and advance partnerships between business and the arts that are mutually benenficail, leading to benefits within the community.

88% of Respondents Indicate Consumer Preference for Products of Companies
that Support the Arts
According to an on-line survey conducted by the Business Committee for the Arts, which asked visitors to its site, "With all factors being equal, including price and quality, would you be more likely to purchase a product or service from a company that supports the arts than from one that does not?", 88% of the respondents answered that they would be more likely to purchase a product or service from a company that supports the arts.
