Objectives
To establish stronger links with existing clients and to develop new ones, to
enhance employee relations by encouraging volunteerism in arts organizations,
and to increase and sustain awareness of the arts in the community.
Process
- To introduce clients to the New Hampshire Institute of Art and the Manchester
Historic Association (MHA), the firm hosts various business events in the
Institutes ballroom and the MHAs conference room/gallery.
- The firm donates office space and employee volunteers to the MHA, the New
Hampshire Symphony Orchestra and Opera of New Hampshire, for receptions, during
which each institutions business supporters and major individual donors are
recognized. Additionally, it supports other area arts organizations by providing
everything from legal services and desktop publishing to maintenance staffing
and facilities management. The firm also auctions hard-to-come-by sports tickets
and donates the proceeds to various arts organizations.
- The firm also holds an annual office-wide arts and crafts exhibition, called "On
My Own Time," to showcase employee-made art. Employees friends and families are
invited to a reception to view the exhibition in the company offices.
Results
Through its support of the arts, Devine, Millimet & Branch has developed
stronger bonds with current clients and has attracted new ones, enhanced its
presence in the community and boosted employee morale. The firms support has
also helped arts organizations reach a wider audience, increase fundraising
efforts and reduce operating costs.
